At Learn2Care, we value the voices of caregivers who remind us that caregiving is not about having all the answers—it’s about showing up, adapting, and trusting yourself along the way.
We spoke with Suzanne White, founder of Caregiver Warrior, an author, speaker, and passionate advocate for family caregivers. Suzanne’s support for others stems from her own caregiving journey—she empowers caregivers with practical tools, stories from real life, and heartfelt encouragement that acknowledges both the struggles and the triumphs along the way.
Here is Suzanne’s story, in her own words.
Hi, I’m Suzanne White, and I’m the founder of Caregiver Warrior.
I am now on my fourth caregiving journey, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I don’t have to know everything and I don’t have to have all the answers before I begin.
In my opinion, caregiving brings so many different challenges, and every situation is unique. I don’t have all the answers, but I figure it out. I think that’s one of the most important things we can understand as caregivers.
We Will Figure It Out
As caregivers, we often put enormous pressure on ourselves to know what’s coming next and how to handle every situation. But caregiving is full of unexpected turns, and no one starts with all the answers.
What I’ve learned is that we will always figure it out.
Take the pressure off yourself. Just because you don’t know what’s coming doesn’t mean you can’t handle it.
So, Caregiver Warriors, trust yourself. You will figure it out. And you don’t have to know everything at the beginning.
