This course provides caregivers with practical strategies for recognizing, preventing, responding to, and reporting workplace violence, harassment, intimidation, threats, and other safety concerns in home and community care settings. Learners will explore common risk factors, early warning signs of escalating behavior, de-escalation techniques, personal safety practices, reporting expectations, and emergency response procedures while maintaining client dignity and person-centred care. Worker safety and person-centred care are complementary goals that support positive outcomes for both caregivers and clients.
