It often looks quieter — a client’s home health aide who never leaves the room during a visit, a household worker who has no control over her own schedule or documents, someone who seems frightened to answer a simple question honestly. Caregivers, because of the access and trust their role carries, are sometimes among the only outside people a trafficking victim ever encounters.
